On the 25th of April, Roisin and myself played the Song Slam at Moritzbastei. Basically it is a battle of the bands type show, except you can have no more than two performers per act. In total there were eleven acts playing, a mix of soloists and duos. The eleven were split into three groups who then played a song each and then the audience chose the winner, with the help of the quite Jimmy Carr-espque compere and his guitar toting sidekick...Roisin and the Beard played "Together we can be" in the first round fixture and progressed to the final against the winners of the other two groups. In the final we lost out to a young man who had the look of the Proclaimers about him...apologies, I only have pictures of the first half of the performers as I had to dash off to prepare to go on stage...
