Taraxacum

The common name dandelion comes from the French dent-de-lion, meaning lion's tooth. Dandelions are thought to have evolved about thirty million years ago in Eurasia.

Taraxacum

Folklore stories suggest you can tell how loved or unloved you are by blowing the seeds off a dandelion globe. It is said that if you can blow all the seeds off with one blow, then you are loved with a passionate love. If some seeds remain, then your lover has reserveations about the relationship. If a lot of the seeds still remain on the globe, then you are not loved at all, or very little.

Alter Johannisfriedhof

Alter Johannisfriedhof Alter Johannisfriedhof

The Alter Johannisfriedhof ("Old St. John's Cemetery") is the oldest burial ground in the city of Leipzig, Germany. It was heavily cleared in 1981 by the then East German regime and is now a park. The burial ground was in existence as early as 1278 on the land of the Johannishospital (St. John's Hospital) in Leipzig, a leper hospital. It was later attached to the Johanniskirche (St. John's Church), built in the 14th century and destroyed in World War II.
