Keeping Cool

Grilling the Thüringian way...

Last weekend I witnessed how to grill the Thüringian way...

1. Heat the coals using a small propane gas canister and a blowtorch

2. Continue applying the gas whilst flapping the coals with a plastic plate

3. When heated, add the Original Thüringer Bratwurstⓒ to the grill

4. Have two people flap plastic objects in the general direction of the coals

5. Alternate between the people so as not to over oxygenate the fire

6. Turn the Original Thüringer Bratwurstⓒ until thoroughly cooked through

In the wilds of Friedrichroda

We went hiking up the mountain, well hill to be more precise, up to the Gottlob. Despite doing this walk on one of the hottest days this summer the forest was very shaded and the breeze helped to cool things down...later that day I had a three and a half hour train journey which was quite a lot like sitting in a volcano...

Seven Psychopaths

Seven Psychopaths is the new film from writer and director of In Bruges, Martin McDonagh. The cast features Colin "Fecking" Farrell, Woody Harrelson, Sam Rockwell and Christopher Walken and is all about dog kidnapping.

Shooting People

I don't often get to take pictures of people, mainly because that would involve socialising with people. Instead I gatecrash other peoples photo shoots and take pictures myself. This is exactly what I did here.

Somebodies

In January of this very year the world was assaulted by a cover version of Gotye's song "Somebody That I Used to Know" played by five people on one guitar. Since there there have been countless other versions. It's probably got to the point now where you hate the song. You've heard it too many times, seen it parodied too many times and if you never hear it again it will be too song.

Well imagine it from the perspective of the artist. Labelled a one hit wonder, yes the album was well received but what is pretty much every gig goer there to hear?

So Gotye has decided there is only one thing to do. Take all the cover versions that are on youtube* and then mix them all together into some type of scrapbook montage.
