The Saturday Garden Party
We went to a garden party...in a garden...
do you see the family resemblance?
a large bottle of home brew
enjoying said home brew...Prost
it was smashing...
all home grown...
photobombed by a plant...
here we see the photographer in her natural habit stalking her prey...(read in David Attenborough's voice)
it's a hard life...
nom nom nom...
Watermelon's official name is Citrullus Lanatus of the botanical family Curcurbitaceae.
did i leave the oven on?
the host of the garden party
yes, these are definitely plants
stop pointing that camera at me...
don't you dare take one more picture...

In the wilds of Friedrichroda
We went hiking up the mountain, well hill to be more precise, up to the Gottlob. Despite doing this walk on one of the hottest days this summer the forest was very shaded and the breeze helped to cool things down...later that day I had a three and a half hour train journey which was quite a lot like sitting in a volcano...
the view from the Gottlob
walking through the Thüringer Wald
looking out away from Friedrichroda
the sun shining through the forest canopy
leading the way down the mountain
the busy Friedrichroda train station
